With more than 3,500 km of coastline, France has the second largest offshore wind potential in Europe. France has confirmed plans to boost its capacity base and become a world leader in floating offshore wind under its multi-year energy plan (PPE), first offering a 250MW site off south Brittany in 2021, and then two 250MW projects in the Meditteranean Sea in 2022. From 2024, France plans to award 1GW of offshore wind projects extensions per year, fixed-bottom or floating, to leverage existing project’s grid connections.

All recent developments pave the way for the more rapid evoluation and take-up of a core, strategic segment of renewable offshore energy in France and give many opportunities for the Dutch offshore wind sector.

Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT)
The FOWT is the world’s largest event dedicated to floating offshore wind and will be held from November 16 -18, 2021 in St. Malo, France. The objective of the FOWT is to further the advancement of floating wind and to accelerate its implementation into the global renewable energy mix. This event is meant to promote constructive discussions between all actors and stakeholders of this emerging industry.

At this moment, the FOWT is planned as a both physical and virtual event, which means the conference program, the plenary sessions and the B2B matchmaking will also be completely accessible online. The FOWT exhibition area will only take place physically.

The Netherlands Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Paris, the Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) in Nantes, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE), will organize a Netherlands pop-up booth for all Dutch participants to showcase their logo and corporate movie/presentation.

Participation via the Netherlands pop-up booth will include the following:
-` Exposure in the pop-up booth with company logo and space for company brochures;
– Shared TV screen at the pop-up booth for corporate movie/presentation;
– Participation in the NL – FR side event (topic, date & time TBC);
– Entrance to the complete FOWT program: Welcome get together in the evening of November 15, conferences and technical  visits;
– Participation in the B2B matchmaking (organized together with the Europe Enterprise Network);
– Catering: drinks, network lunches and gala dinner
– On site support from organizers of the Netherlands participation; and
– Joint promotion.

A minimum number of 10 participants, who will be physically present, is required to proceed with the Netherlands pop-up booth.

Participation costs
Physical participation:
€340,00 per person, excluding VAT and travel related expenses. This price includes all services as described above.
Price for conference ticket via FOWT directly is between €468,00 and €504,00, and excludes participation in the Netherlands pop-up booth and the services provided by the organizers of the Dutch participation.

Online participation:
€144,00 (small companies and knowledge institutes), €288,00 (SME’s) and €336,00 (large companies), excluding VAT. Your company will be included in the Netherlands pop-up booth and be part of the joint promotion.
Price for conference ticket via FOWT directly is between the €144,00 and €336,00 as well, and excludes participation in the Netherlands pop-up booth and the services provided by the organizers of the Dutch participation.

Only Dutch (affiliated) companies can register through us. Non-Dutch companies have to register via the FOWT directly and can’t be included in the Netherlands participation.
