Delft University of Technology - TU Delft - has a strong foundation. As the builder of the world-famous Dutch waterworks and a pioneer in energy technologies, TU Delft is a leading international university that combines science, engineering and design. As the oldest and largest technical university in the Netherlands, TU Delft provides world-class education, research and innovation. Four of the eight faculties rank in their worldwide top 4. TU Delft offers 16 bachelor’s and 33 master’s courses. Over 27,000 of its students and 6,600 of its employees share the need to make impact. With our world leading incubators our campus community generates start-ups and scale-ups that deliver breakthrough innovations.
At TU Delft over 1000 researchers are active in the energy transition domain collaborating with leading national and international partners. The TU Delft Wind Institute and Hydrogen Institute deliver evidence-based and technology-driven innovations in the domain offshore renewable energy systems: wind, solar, hydrogen, marine energy and several enabling topics like floating systems, circularity, system integration, low impact installation ,nature inclusive design and port strategies. In doing so we use unique research and test facilities like the Floating Renewables Lab linking offshore fieldlabs to onshore facilities creating a data driven continuous learning cycle. To make ‘Impact for a Better Society’ the Delft approach is interdisciplinary, innovative and down to earth.
