DIALOGUE INVITATION TO INTRODUCE THE STUDY ON HARBOR AND INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFSHORE WIND ENERGY DEVELOPMENT IN VIETNAM
The goal of developing the marine economy with a focus on offshore wind power development in Vietnam has been stated in Party Resolutions, national development strategies and especially in the recent draft PDP8 defining the expected offshore wind development goals around 3-5 GW by 2030. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to share experiences in practical implementation, exchange expertise, and in setting up the policy framework supporting sectoral development.
In this context, the Electricity and Renewable Energy Agency – Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam kindly invite you to join the virtual dialogue to introduce the study on Harbor and Infrastructure requirements for Offshore Wind Energy Development in Vietnam, which was conducted by the Embassy in collaboration with Maritime & Transport Business Solutions (MTBS) and Vietnam Initiative for Energy Transition (VIETSE).
This online event is organized to bring together the policymakers, development partners, national and international financial institutions, researchers, and businesses around the world who are interested in the development of offshore wind energy, seaports and future energy supply, to have multidimensional discussions about the technical requirements for harbor and integrated infrastructures for offshore wind development. Accordingly, this will help to create momentum for the development of seaport infrastructures, power grid, and transport connecting to seaports to provide services on logistics, construction, operation, and maintenance of the offshore wind power plants.
