From October2-6, 2023, a large delegation of Dutch offshore wind companies participated in the ACP Offshore WINDPOWER 2023 in Boston (USA). The participation consisted of 22 companies, partly PIB USA companies and partly other Dutch companies. They were all represented in the joint Netheralnds Lounge.

The ACP exhibition and conference was well attended, with a great varied public from all over the world. The Dutch participation was organized by Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE), the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York (CG NY) and RVO/ICEP.

In addition to all regular sessions, CG NY, together with Deltares,HHWE, and RVO/ICEP, organized a Knowledge-to-Knowledge (K2K) meeting on the topic of “ecology and ecology monitoring”. An important topic in the US also because of fishing, which is an important economic factor on the East Coast of the US. The turnout from the American side for this event was great, as was the interaction between the participants.

Participants at the Netherlands Lounge were Ampelmann, BargeMaster, Boskalis, CAPE Holland, CORROSION, C-Job Naval Architects, Deltares, Geomil Equipmet BV, GustoMSC, Huisman, iPS Powerful People, Mammoet, MARIN, Reynard Solutions, Royal IHC, Seaqualize, Seaway7, TME, Trelleborg, Vuyk Enginering and Wind BV

On Thursday and Friday there was a special conference in New Bedfordm, the port of call for the first offshore wind farm to be built in the US, Vineyard Wind 1. During these days it was also possible to see the Dutch contribution to this project from the water. BargeMaster and Seaqualize are both closely involved in this project.
