From 21 to 31 March, a large delegation of Dutch offshore wind companies participated in the IPF 2023 in Baltimore, Maryland. The participation consisted of 25 companies, partly PIB companies and partly other Dutch companies. They were all represented in the joint NL pavilion.

The fair and the IPF conference were well attended. The Dutch participation was organized by HHWE, the Dutch consulate in New York and RVO/ICEP.

In addition to all regular sessions, CG NY, together with TU-Delft, HHWE and RVO/ICEP, organized a meeting on the subject of “gentle piling”. An important topic in the US because of the gray right whale that migrates up and down the American east coast. The turnout from the American side for this event was large because Dutch companies and knowledge institutes have a solution for the reduction of the noise produced during the pile-driving of the foundations in the seabed.

Participants at the Dutch booth were Atlas Professionals, Cape Holland, Corrosion, C-Job Naval Architects, GustoMSC, Holmatro Industrial Equipment, Huisman, Hydromaster Propulsion, Interdam, IPS, Marin, Royal IHC, Seaqualize, SIF, SMST, Smulders, SPT Offshore, Teal Energi, Trelleborg, Ulstein, V&SH Offshore, VDL Klima, Vuyk Engineering, Whiffle, Wind BV and Z-Bridge.

On Tuesday morning a Government to Government session was organized in collaboration with the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA). CESA is the platform of states that work together to accelerate the application of sustainable energy and the energy transition.

Friday morning there was also a visit to a large shipyard in Baltimore. In short, a full and very successful program .
